I like bocce-- I play with a bunch of Italians on an annual golf/drunk up..

I haven't had beers since Saturday, got rather drunk after Metaltown and can still feel it in my bones... (or is it that fence that hurt me that still feels?)
I was suposed to go and have fun this weekend which is midsummer and classic get out and drunk weekend over here, but will try and keep from it.

The only place you can buy it in is the shop where i work.

Yeah, I may not be onbroad this year, but that won't stop me from hanging around and talking about beer!

We recently got to meet Cody Morris, the man behind Epic Ales, and sample a few of his other ales. Probably the most unusual one was La Mesa Negra, a corn-based black sour wild ale. As odd as that sounds, it was very good, with an earthy, tangy, mildly funky quality that would go beautifully with real Mexican food.

Since then, nothing new and interesting has come across our radar, but that will change at the Seattle International Beer Festival http://www.seattlebeerfest.com/Index2%20SIB.htm next weekend. They're being evil this year though, with lots of rotating, one-off mystery kegs that will be randomly tapped during the three-day event, forcing the true geeks to try to stay every hour of all 3 days so they don't miss anything amazing. We can't, though, since it starts at noon on a workday. We just have to hope we catch some good ones, especially as Cantillon is rotating several lambics (we served Rose de Gambrinus at our wedding, instead of champagne).

Today I went out and baked in the sun with a bunch of fellow black-clad freaks, representing Gothic Seattle in the annual Pride parade. No metal contingent in the parade, sadly, but most of the goths I know are metalheads as well. Now that I'm home and the sunscreen's off and I've rehydrated, it's time for BEER!!!!

Nice! The only other person I've seen do that is my 5'2" friend Jason, who's coming to europe with me. I could never do that, beer foams in my throat really bad, I can't even shot gun a beer without it coming right back out.
