Sorry to offend. I guess I consider bands who haven't released an album in 16 years and probably haven't toured the U.S. probably in that same timeframe (if not longer) pretty unknown at this point. You'd have to be DEEP into the early 90's Florida DM scene (and of age or live in the area) to know who the hell Massacre are in 2012. I could be wrong though. Maybe they'll get a co-headlining slot in the Summer Slaugther Tour this summer alongside Cannibal Corpse and Between the Buried and Me :)

I guess any band that has ex-Death members in it would be easy to discover if you were so inclined. From listening to a few tracks, I think the reason they aren't that well known is because they're kinda bad.

Oh no, no offense at all my brother in metal. In fact, you are correct. If anyone is to be called DEEP in the Florida scene that would be me. And right in that time frame as well. In fact, I was involved in what be called the birth of death metal.
Hanging out at Chucks house in Altimonte Springs, being in the studio for the recording of Altars of Madness, even being with Morbid Angel when they picked Pete up at the Daytona Greyhound station in 87' when he came to join the band.
So, yeah, for me, Massacre playing now after all the time you mention is a gift for me. Terry Butler & Rick Rozz are a part of Death's history. Hails, and another beer.
