Monsters of Rock 2017 - departing EXACTLY the same day as 70K (but it returns a day later as they are doing two port calls) - Feb 2 to Feb 7.

Frankly I think its a piss-poor effort from MoR. Same date, same cruiseline, using the whole 'superbowl party' thing. Bloody ridiculous. Skipper will be pissed off and rightly so!

We hope to announce bands ( starting line up) by this weekend and have MORC 2017 on sale by next week

The Super Bowl weekend is a big reason this happened ,don't blame MORC for that.It is just the slowest cruise weekend of the year and the cheapest to charter a boat.Makes business sense for both the promoter and the cruise line.

So far nothing special ,even the moniker "Gatherning of the Titans " makes it sound like dinosaur eighties metal bands.70k has nothing to worry about ,seems like a step backwards from last year's line up.It is early and the heavier bands on MORC would be the announced later,first comes the eighties bands.

Nah - only band so far that would be half a chance to make a 70k lineup would be Queensryche.

Nightranger, Stryper and Danger Danger added today.

I like Nightranger and Stryper and never seen either, but again - definitely not 70k material.

Just got my alumni pre booking email with code. Pre booking cabins for alumni go on sale at 10 am Wednesday March 23rd.

But I'm doing 70k.
