Greiss played admirably but he did cost the team a few points with a late puck playing oopsie against Edmonton and a bad game against Columbus. The real problem wasn't goaltending, it was the offense going ice cold. Second straight season a defenseman (Yandle) leads the team in scoring. Still, Smitty was playing very well before the injury and I do feel like he could have stolen a couple of those games.

Should be an interesting offseason. Arizona definitely needs some forward help. They have a couple of good forward prospects in Henrik Samuelsson and Max Domi (sons of Ulf and Tie) coming through the pipeline but I'm not sure if they are NHL ready yet. The tough thing is, those two have pretty much maxed out what they will get developmentwise from the CHL and they are too young for the AHL.

Thanks. Greiss was really good, especially considering he'd never played that much but he didn't steal any games. Sadly, someone will probably snatch him up this summer.

Been reading on comments about Selke award nominees. In my humble opinion, there is no need whatsoever for three nominees this year. Bergeron and Kopitar are in such a league of their own this season it hurts. As a Kopitar fan, I hope he wins the trophy, but the truth is Bergeron will get it for the second time in the last three years, just because Bruins will get further in PO than Kings (unless miracles DO happen). And then there are retarded comments like these:

Kopitar and Toews should not even be in consideration. They are dirty players. David Backes is the only one that should have won this. The NHL selection are clueless. Do they even watch the games. He has the points, plays on the powerplay, penalty kills, plays 20+ minutes. BAD CALL NHL

I won't be mad or cry if Anže doesn't get the trophy since Bergeron is a top notch player. I'd be very surprised if NHL gives trophy to Toews.

Playing against Austria will be very hard since they are still majorly BUTTHURT ever since the Sochi defeat (for geographicaly impaired, we are neighbours) and we are without our best players (Kopitar in playoffs, 4 players in German final). I promise, if you do this, beer is on me during 2015 cruise.
