I get a HT and am part of only 7% of the field to get one and you get one too!

    :bitch: :bitch: :bitch:

How the hell am I supposed to make up ground when you pull that crap?

    Damn

Aside from that... WAY TO GO Hoppy!! 3 of us getting into such a small % of the field is actually really cool and I don't feel so bad since seeing you got all 3 as well. Hat Trick for the the 70K HTC crew on a night when most were wrong! :headbanger: :beerbang:
It's okay. I got another today for you too. ;)
Screw this. I'm pulling a Tuukka. Screw hocky! I'm taking my pads n' going home :bitch:

And we close the season out with yet another hat trick. :deathhorns: Bow down before your Hockeyagi Grand Champion.

Sucks that Tampa won but oh well. Bring on next season.

I'm just bummed that COVID fucked up my ability to be at these games. I work evenings so I have never gotten season tickets, but I go to games there whenever I could and my work has some really nice seats at Amalie that they'll give away to us now and then.

Sorry for the late congrats bro. Kinda lost interest midway through 3rd round.

Nice regular season AND playoff WINS. I don't know if anyone's ever done that here before. Well done!

See ya whenever they fire shit back up again haha!

This core has always had trouble with Trotz teams. Can't solve the shot blocking and aggressive forecheck. Now Tuukka needs hip surgery, putting him out until Jan/Feb if he even decides to return and they have some decisions to make with a couple of big free agents (including Tuukka). The team has to address its depth problems and completely bare prospect pool, as well as plan to lose a player to Seattle. Should be an eventful offseason.

        TY Coyotes, THANK YOU!!!

Haven't followed closely enough to understand WHY Larsson was even available but if you had to lose him, I'm sure happy we got him AND cast off all those dead weight contracts

Really like the looks of Guenther and I'm sure we'll feel pangs of loss at times down the road that he's not one of us but yeah, really hard to feel bad about this deal on many levels.

Looks like Garland is no minor addition to our club either. Shocked he got added to the mix even

Fill in the blanks for me buddy

OEL has been absolutely terrible the last couple of seasons. Bad turnovers, lazy defensive play, stupid penalties, you name it. His contract looked a bit worrying. However, he had a lot going on. His mother passed away a few years back, which hit him very hard and he dealt with some injuries in the time frame. He also did not mix at all with Rick Tocchet's style and never got along with him. He struggled in the captain's role, though Shane Doan is impossible to follow up. He is far too quiet and reserved for that position. I don't think his skills have diminished, I just don't think his head has been in the right place lately.

I really think he can thrive with a change of scenery, and the bitterness of being in trade talks over the past year hopefully lit a fire under his ass. He seems like a great case of a player that just needs to get out of a little rut. We shall see, I guess but I was hoping the Bruins would take a flyer on the OEL and Garland package.

I loved watching Garland. He came over to Tucson after his time in the Q was up and I got to see him blossom into a legitimate NHL player. He was a bit of a brat at first but has matured considerably over the years. When first watching him I thought he'd never sniff the NHL because of how easily he would get pushed off the puck. In Tucson he gained enough strength, developed a tenacious forechecking style and he is an absolute dog on the puck. He has some slick moves as well and his passing has improved greatly. Now he'll never win the majority of physical battles and he's awful in his own end so he needs to be sheltered but he's a great weapon to have on the power play and a player you can look to if you need a big goal. Hopefully the Canucks have some guys that can back him up because he does get picked on a lot.

Coyotes are blowing the whole thing up and starting from scratch so it'll be a tough couple of years (at least) ahead.

As for the Bruins, I'm quite happy with the Hall contract. Boston is where he's wanted to be all along and he got to steal some money from Buffalo first before it happened. Still need some help on defense and they're putting a lot of trust in the young goalies while Tuukka spends the first half+ of the season recovering from surgery (if he doesn't retire). Hopefully some more moves are coming as Krejci is also a question mark to return and some more center depth would be helpful anyway.

Thanks for all the insight man

Getting stoked for the coming games

Definitely lots of changes in Boston and a bunch to keep an eye on here as well.

I hope the 'Yotes can over-perform and give you guys some excitement during rebuilding years. Had more than our share of those here

Any pools or HTC action this year? Hoping they skipped last year due to shortened season but return with everything up n' running this year

If anyone knows of any free (or cheap n good) online pools where ya get to choose new players each day/week/round or something like that, please share. Enterprise stopped doing their HTC and similar contests at the beginning of the pandemic and don't appear to be returning and the one Canadian broadcaster (Sportsnet) who's site do a weekly player selection one during the regular season have now stopped doing so during the playoffs and are opting to do a bracket challenge that's almost identical to the one the NHL already does (WHY THE F?) so I'm hurting for something more interesting that just brackets.

        Thanks!
