junkhead13 wrote:I posted it earlier in the thread, but did you see "World's Greatest Dad" with Robin Williams (directed by Bobcat Golthwait? That was an entertaining flick.
junkhead13 wrote:Bobcat directed another one called "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie". Romantic comedy, but the premise is fucked up so I will probably check it out.
I'm sure you've seen Shakes the Clown?
gnoff wrote:Went to the movies Monday and Tuesday
saw latest X-men and latest Pirates of the C.
If I have time tomorrow after work I have tickets for a new Swedish film called Kronjuvelerna
Wicker Man wrote:last one for me was, Paul hilarious and Pirate Radio (the boat that rocked) the story is kind of cheesy mostly the end but it was good, laugh a lot and Nick Frost is just amazing!

Anyone seen it? I think it's a masterpiece and the actress that plays Xiao Qiao is beautiful.

You got the complete Red Cliff, containing both movies, right? I was soo lucky to get it from amazon.co/uk a year or so back. Best $15 blu-ray I ever bought. Every time I watch it ill go into work and tell me chinese friend that im in the mood to put a spear through his chest.
mooyagi wrote: Yup I've got the full 2-Disc version. Also managed to score it for about $15 through Amazon.
mooyagi wrote:Yeah, John Woo does an amazing job with it. Have you read the book (Romance of the Three Kingdoms)? Zhuge Liang (Kongming) is such an amazing character. The stuff he comes up with is pure genius. Takeshi Kaneshiro does an awesome job portraying him in the film.

It's a project. You're looking at around 2000 pages for the full version but it's totally worth the read. Here's the version I own:

mooyagi wrote:Oh, I gotta get around to that too. I'm pretty sure Marlo will end our relationship if I don't at least try to get into it
