Suggest a guitar for around ‎€300

by Slayton Miles » Tue Jun 18, 2019 11:24 pm

I'm considering buying a new guitar for around €300 but I'm not sure what's out there these days and how good they are. If there is anything available with twin coil tappable humbuckers for that price it would be a bonus. I'm in two minds about getting a guitar with a floyd style trem (I like them but they make different tunings a pain in the ass) or not so I'll take any suggestions really. It'll get used to play every thing from metal to jazz. Ifound some here. Thanks.

Is this like the new twist on the old kitchen cabinets threads from a decade ago?
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

You might get a secondhand Yamaha AES820 for that, which ticks all the boxes as long as you like the look of them; maybe the Dean Hardtail, I'm sure Schecter do a guitar that's dual HB with coil split...there's a few options, but you'd do well to get down to a well-stocked shop and have a look around really!

There's a couple of ESP LTD guitars that would do nicely as well, I think the EC200 is the least overtly 'metal' of them.

This would be good, you could put coil taps in there as far as I know (but I'm not 100%) - read here

And in fairness, that's a good enough price that you could afford to replace one or both of the pickups with splittable ones if I'm wrong!
