I have decent estimated attendance for this event based on data from my app. I don't know what maximum capacity is, but I do know (approximately) how many people where at these venues most crowded shows

    Most attended event by venue

Devin Townsend in the Theater, estimated crowd size 1,871
Wintersun on the Pool Desk, estimated crowd size 1,547
At The Gates in the Ice Rink, estimated crowd size 1,360
Aether Realm in the Lounge, estimated crowd size 1,039

The number of people we can cram into the Lounge surprises me, but for a good show, we do pack them in tighter density than any other venue.

I somehow find it hard to believe that we can pack that many people in the Star Lounge. How do you come up with that number? Because of course the number of people that planned on attending that show does not mean they actually showed up.

Yea, the math is strait forward, but more people using the feature of 'Will Attend' would have helped. I was surprised by the number as well, but that club gets packed with people spilling out the door for an in demand show, so I went with it.

There were 178 users of the app who indicated attending more than 10 events (so I assume they most likely entered all attendance data).

Of those 178, 61 were at the Aether Realm in the Lounge.
61 represents 34.3% of the people who provided attendance data.
According to Andy, total attendance on the cruise was 3,028
    34.3% of 3,028 is 1,039

This is an estimate, and one based on a smaller sample size than I would have liked. Given that we had over 2,000 users using the app this year, only 178 providing attendance data is not great. I plan on making changes for 2021 (or 2022) to try and improve adoption of this feature, a lot of people didn't know it was there.

While taking these estimate with a grain of salt is justified, I can say with absolute certainty that this is the best data available, and I doubt even UMC themselves have better data for how many people were at any given event. So it is what it is :)

Wikipedia says the theater seats 1200, but CruiseMapper says 1320.

For the Devin show the theater was over capacity for sure, with people in the isles and spilling out the door. That was one of the most packed events I have ever seen on my many 70k cruises. That being said, it’s certainly possible that my estimates are slightly inflated.

All I know for sure is the data directly provided by the users. I am assuming these reports are from users who adequately represent all cruisers and that is just an assumption that may or may not be true. That being said...I am sure there were more then 1,300 people in that venue.

Don’t forget all the seats removed, that can pack a few hundred, plus the overflow.
    They key word being “seats”.
    I think 1800 is accurate.

Easily. Especially with people packed into the aisles, etc.
I remember it was packed for Blind Guardian back in 2015 and I had to stand along the back wall...and near me were ship crew-members also enjoying the show, including at least one senior officer. :D :headbanger:
