Is that due to the Melissa More thing? I get people are pissed at Proscriptor over that but some of that is unfair. Absu had been a prominent band for 20 years before Melissa joined and notably a band obsessed with image and themes for it's entire existence. If you join Kiss you have to be the cat, if you join Gwar you gotta be an alien monster and if you join Absu you gotta be a goofy mythological occult warrior it's part of the gig.

Would I have preferred if Proscriptor worked it out? A million times yes. However, saying his choice was to alter his vision of three decades or be blackballed from the metal community doesn't seem right either. To my knowledge he's never used his platform to spread any BS and if that is the case I welcome them back.

Note that ORANGE are bands that have NOT been on previously, and RED will be bands that are ruled out already, GREEN will be for announced repeating bands, and BLUE will be for announced bands playing 70k for the first time!

Cutting off at 17 requests now gives us the top 101, and 28 of those have never been on 70k previously.

Because they have less than 17 requests and aren't announced.
