Hey, they did increase their communication. We now have even more pointless social media posts during the dead timeMetalhead_80s wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 5:22 am Here's a wish...better communication and transparency into what's going on.
Sad to hear that, but absolutely understandable. Exchange rates are a huge factor. They can make the trip much cheaper or much more expensive.cowboy71 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 3:38 pm Don't see myself making 70k 2026 to be honest. Having missed it for the first time in 2025, missing it again will be even easier.
With the Australian Dollar crashing against the US Dollar, and 70k prices increasing more and more every year, its just no longer viable for me financially.
ESPECIALLY when I can hit Europe for several weeks for the same kind of money.
Most likely will hit EpicFest in Denmark again this time next year. Might even make a trip to your part of Europe :)Amalu wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 12:40 amSad to hear that, but absolutely understandable. Exchange rates are a huge factor. I wish I could book now, as the USD is at an all time low compared to the Swiss Franc. I would save around 10% from last year...
There are a couple of cool smaller festivals in Switzerland. I'm going to the Riverside Aarburg and the Summerside Festival this year. The cool thing is that they allow children for free, so I can take my son to see some Metal.cowboy71 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 5:28 pmMost likely will hit EpicFest in Denmark again this time next year. Unfortunately the Australian Dollar has not fared as well as the Swiss Franc. I don't understand all the technicalities behind it, but I think a major factor is the fact that Australia do a lot of trade with china -> US tariffs have hit china hard -> what is bad for china is thus bad for Australia.
This year I attended EpicFest. Well organized, close to Copenhagen.cowboy71 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 5:28 pmMost likely will hit EpicFest in Denmark again this time next year. Yep EpicFest was brilliant!!! Looking forward to going again in 2026!
Seeing them in LA & Atlanta. Thinking about Sacramento
They DID actually sell them in the early years!!! I HAVE one in my wardrobe but I think I bought it on the first or second cruise when I was MUCH thinner so its like a medium that doesn't fit anymoreAverageMetalDrummer wrote: ↑Sat May 31, 2025 4:37 am Random thought while watching an interview with Andy: it would be cool if they sold plain 70K polo shirts like the staff wear onbroad at the merch store. I could actually wear those at work.
That’s pretty cool! I missed out in so much. I wish I wasn’t so broke back thencowboy71 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 5:44 pmThey DID actually sell them in the early years!!! Maybe I should make a vow. A vow to return to 70k if and when I lose enough weight to comfortably wear that shirt againAverageMetalDrummer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 1:52 pmThat’s pretty cool! Hell yeah, do it! The inherent health benefits and a return to the boat make this a great life choice!cowboy71 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 8:33 pmMaybe I should make a vow. I could get "STATSMAN" sewn on to it like Skipper and the crew have sewn names on theirs

That would be epic
Mayan unfortunately zero chance as Epica have conflicting tourdates. No Epica = No Mayan either :(
