The announcement still lists Labadee as the destination. They must be banking on improvement in Haiti’s situation.

I think it's more a matter of not announcing a different location until it's confirmed one way or another. So, it will still be Labadee until it's confirmed as Labadee or as somewhere different.

Yes, and no. They have currently paused any sailings to Labadee. That's not unusual and has happened in the past. It might be stabilized by 2026, but if not, they'll start exploring options later this year, I'm sure. They undoubtedly have contingency plans they would work with 70K on. Worst case, it will go to a different port.

Yeah, I was referencing the fact that Labadee sailings were paused in my previous post. I’m tracking that it’s a secure area. Honestly, I was looking forward to that port. Some make it sound more relaxing than other ports, saying you can avoid the local vendors altogether if you so choose. I’d love to be able to leave the boat without people trying to sell me shit.

I've literally never left BOAT on port days. I think I got all my Caribbean shenanigans on port days out of my system when I used to do MORC.

Average if we get rid of awkward 2020 & 2023 years: 258.08 (I personally believe both of these years were late because of Andy's "rule" of The BIG headliner being the first announcement. We know why Nightwish had the delay, why Emperor had delays, we can only speculate)

I wouldn't say we're in panic territory but it is concerning/but also completely not concerning that Andy (yet again) promised for a more cruiser friendly time line of announcements and ticket sales and we're definitely getting closer to that point of "well, that one's on us for trusting you yet again"

I think it's very likely that with all of the economic and travel uncertainty in the US, Andy is angling for a first band that inspires confidence and gets people to take the risk. Whether or not he actually gets one is anyone's guess.

If we don't see a band by Aug 31st, that's when I'm going to start getting concerned

Yeah, from their first album with Mike Patton. They had a couple before that with Chuck Mosley on vocals. Patton gave them a lot more range.
