The vast majority should be the same, with some exceptions here or there. You can find deck plans for all of the ships online if you want to verify a specific cabin.

Look on cruisedeckplans.com to find a really good layout of the two side by side (if you open two windows). From what I recall, there are some slight differences here and there since they were refreshed (or Amplified as RC called it) at different times.

Yeah I enjoy the Mon-Fri cruises because if I/we want to do the trip as short as possible so as not to miss too much work and/or school, we can fly out on a Thur/Fri, have the weekend to prepare, do the cruise then return home on the friday arriving on the Sunday - miss maybe 5 or 6 days tops of work.

Mon-Fri is best for me as well. Still wind up taking 5 days of vacation either way and getting 9 days instead of 7 (and potentially more if I get BoatSars) is great.

For me, and probably for most people travelling from afar, Mon-Fri cruises are by far the best option. We can get there on Saturday so we have two nights to start adjusting to jet lag, and then two more days when we get home to (partially) recover before restarting our lives. And all of this just by just taking 5 days off.

If we want a similar approach (two nights before in Miami + two days to recover) we need to take at least 7 days off, which for me personally is a stretch because I need to keep several days off for summer trips with wife and maybe some other festival.

So basically I'm losing two days off with the new configuration.

That being said, no drama, I'll be there no matter what...

For me, the Thu-Mon days mean flying in the night before and flying home disembark day. Which also means a brutal partial week of work before and after. I mean, it's doable, but I rather the mon-Fri. That being said, scheduling in general for 2025 is bad for me since we have a relatively long summer trip tentatively planned for July 2025, so, unless we win the lottery or something, both in the same calendar year probably won't work out. I guess there's a slim chance I might do it solo with the right cabinmates, but that's going to depend on a lot of factors.

Well, my boat spouse and I were SUPPOSED to be out for 2025 for Japan-related reasons, but now he's telling me that he wants to go again next year.

That said, I'm STILL feeling the ship moving, so maybe I'll have to reconsider future ship-related adventures. We'll see.

I usually don't get the sea legs/land legs issues unless the seas are rough rough. It's happened a few times. Don't think it's happened to me on BOAT yet. Couple times on MORC. But those were BAD weather years. Band members having to walk off stage and puke bad. I grew up on the water, so I'm usually fine.

Unless things have changed, the Indy will not have those annoying flower things blocking views of the pool-deck stage, but we'll see the return of the tall orange pillers.* Still, it'll be better.
The Indy also doesn't have El Loco Fresh. Instead I think there's a pay a la carte fish'n'chips place there.

I was reallly hoping for Perfect Day at CocoCay, but we got Ocho Rios. It's a bit of a dump, but better than Falmouth or Freeport.

EDIT - furthermore, unless its changed, I think/hope the arcade is better than the Freedom. Took my boy to the arcade this year and it was ATTROCIOUS. Like the only "arcade machines" there were LITERALLY games that you play on your mobile phone when you are bored, like fruit ninja.

At least (if I'm remembering right) the arcade on Indy had a Guitar Hero, and a few sitdown racing machines.

I never got to play the minigolf course on Freedom, but it looked WAY more fun... I also never got to ride the waterslide, but I don't recall Independence having one at all (could have been upgraded?)

Yeah Indy got upgraded a few years ago, so does have waterslides :)

Indy also had "Skypad" which Freedom does not - a 'virtual reality trampoline'. BUT apparently the trampoline thing got retired last year and I'm not sure if its been replaced with anything.

On Freedom, it was just an open room with some hangout space, I believe. I know some of the gang from the Discord met up there a couple times.

I'm hoping to make it next year. The Thurs-Mon schedule throws a wrench in things for my girlfriend, she can't get time off as easily as myself.

We are also wanting to do other festivals we have never been to. Can really only afford one big trip like that a year. The deciding factor will be line up. Hopefully a few big names get announced at the beginning to seal the deal. Really want to see Soilwork.
